3 VITAMIN C PRODUCTS THAT REALLY WORK

I swore summer 2018 would be my very first makeup-free season. Like, ever. What I didn’t know, is that powerhouse ingredient, Vitamin C, would get me there. If you have hyperpigmentation, pesky sunspots, broken capillaries, or a dull complexion, start incorporating Vitamin C into your skincare routine. STAT.

Here are 3 Vitamin C products that changed my skin’s life

1. Glo Skin Daily Power C

The Daily Power C is an antioxidant serum that protects the skin from environmental damage – and shields from free-radicals and pollution. Scientific studies have shown that daily use of Vitamin C can significantly improve the skin’s surface, depending on level of concentration, of course. And speaking of concentration, the Power C contains about 15% of unpolluted ingredients, which makes for one hell of a products. This bomb product gets extra points for not oxidizing upon application. It’s a little on the pricy side, retailing for $98, but trust: it’s better to shell out the cash on high-quality products in the name of skincare. Oh! And because vitamin C can react to some skin types, only apply in the AM after you cleanse the skin. Overuse of any product might cause breakouts, or congestion.

2. Murad’s Intensive-C Radiance Peel

Admittedly, I’ve been a tad wary of peels for as long as I can remember. Back in the day, I used to think it literally meant peeling off the skin’s surface, just like it did for Samantha in that one Sex and the City episode. Of course, depending on the condition of your skin, and whatever it is that you’re trying to achieve, you can opt for milder peel, which is what the Intensive-C Radiance Peel is. Who doesn’t want bright, smooth, hydrated skin? In addition to vitamin C, the formula contains Indian Fig, which serves to protect against free-radicals, Glycollic Acid that exfoliates and accelerates cell turnover, and Myrtle Extract that boosts elasticity. The product retails for $55, and since you only need to use 1 - 2 times weekly, it’ll last for a few months. Totally worth the investment if you ask me!

3. Pure Biology’s C Plus Vitamin C Serum

Anti-aging serums to the rescue! This powerhouse formula contains 30% more Vitamin C than other over the counter products, which helps minimize the appearance of fine line and wrinkles, and combat early signs of aging. The product also contains Hyaluronic Acid – a powerful humectant that plumps the skin’s surface and seals in moisture. Hyaluronic Acid reminds me of that trusty ol’ fountain of youth; and folks wonder why I still get carded. An added bonus? Pure Biology is cruelty-free, non-GMO – and free of parabens and synthetic fillers. Shop Amazon’s hottest beauty staple here.

Here’s to a glorious, makeup-free summer!

Cheers,

Nicole
